Taking Learning Outdoors

Tuesday, October 8, 2024 @6:30pm

Taught in English: REGISTRATION IS FULL

Summary
In this live online training, participants will identify environmental elements to support children’s learning while outdoors and they will discuss appropriate materials and arrangements to include within a family child care environment. They will recognize the ways the arrangement of outdoor spaces can impact behaviors of children in care. This training session provides 2 hours of Set One training in Learning Environments and Curriculum.

This training opportunity is part of the beginner level PSF Summer Series: Learning Environments for Family Child Care. These training sessions are live online and take place from July to August 2024. While all sessions relate to learning environments, they each have a different focus. Child care providers that participate in these sessions will be eligible to receive up to $300 ($50 per training session completed) to purchase materials that support play-based learning in a home based environment.

Space is limited, if there are more registrations than slots available, priority will be given to family child care providers that are newer to providing care and have participated in prior PSF training sessions.

Zoom links will be emailed the day before the training. For any questions, please email Christy O'Neill at coneill@providerfund.org or info@providerfund.org (please include “TRAINING” in the subject line).
